| Sensei Eric Atienza is co-School Head of Ka Hale Na Ikaika Dojo in San Diego, California. He has been training actively in the martial arts since 1995. In addition to jujutsu, he has studied Filipino Arnis, Wing Chun, Qi Gong, and Aikido. He has also completed the Danzan Ryu Seifukujitsu Therapy Practitioner course. An active duty military service member, he has trained multiple security units in unarmed defense tactics as well as conducted maritime security and interdiction operations in the Arabian Gulf. A graduate of the 2003 Kodenkan Jujitsu Okugi, he has been awarded a Kaidensho and the title of Renshi (Instructor) by Professor Janovich, Judan (10th degree black belt). |

| Sensei Rich Borba is School Head of the Koden Jujitsu Kai in Las Vegas, Nevada which he opened in November of 1997. He started Danzan Ryu in 1975 with Prof. Gene Edwards (retired) after studying Judo with Sensei Bob Krull. A retired State of California Law Enforcement Officer from the Napa Valley, he is currently a member of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Volunteer Program and a Certified Las Vegas Metro Defensive Tactics Instructor. Sensei Borba is assigned to the Metro Training Unit and has resigned his volunteer position at the Metro Range to allow him to more fully dedicate his time to instructing Defensive Tactics to Police Officers. He also works on a part time basis as a Clark County Juvenile Services Assistant and is currently assigned to the Felony Detention Unit in Las Vegas. |

| Sensei Jaya R. Carl is School Head of the Shanti Jujitsu Dojo & Yoga Center in San Jose California, which he established in 2000. He started Danzan-Ryu Jujitsu in 1986 with Matt and Nancy Bigham. Jaya received his Shodan in 1990, Nidan in 1994 and Sandan in 1997. He is currently continuing his studies under Professor Robert Hudson. In 1991 he received his Massage Technician certificate then his Massage Practitioner certificate in 1999. He received a certificate in Seifukujitsu/Restoration Therapy from Profs. Tony Janovich and Sig Kufferath in 1997. Jaya completed the Yoga Teachers Training with Swami Vishnu Devananda of the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers International in 1973. For five years Jaya lived in the Sivananda Yoga Centers and Retreats where he taught hatha yoga and meditation.Jaya also studies Ikebana with Riji Kika Shibata and currently holds the rank of Nikyu from the Sogetsu School. In 1997 he was elected to the AJJF Board of Managers to serve as the Manger of Communications. |

| Sensei Hillary Kaplowitz is the School Head of Pacific JuJitsu Kai in Santa Monica, California. In 1977 Hillary began Danzan Ryu JuJitsu in the juniors program at the Santa Monica YMCA under instructor Jim Nieto, where she also competed on the Judo team. After a hiatus, she went on to train under a number of senseis including Mike Lynch and Ed Cook, receiving her Shodan in 1998 from Profs. Bill Randle and Leif Bennett. Hillary is continuing her studies under Prof. Robert Hudson, receiving her Nidan in 2000, Sandan in 2003 and Yodan in 2006. She graduated from the Danzan Ryu Seifukujitsu Institute Modules I, II, and III, and is now an instructor in the program. Hillary serves as Manager of the SouthWest Region for the AJJF. |

| Sensei Jeff Penner has been studying Danzan Ryu JuJitsu since 1985 and earned his black belt in 1991 under his current sensei, Prof Robert Hudson. He has been teaching at Honshin Kan since 1993. He is a graduate of the Danzan Ryu Seifukujitsu Institute Modules I and II. |

| Sensei Tom Ryan began his martial arts career in the early 1970s while in the U.S. Army. He has studied Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, Wrestling, Kodokan Judo, Wing-Chun, Kyoshu Jitsu, Improvised Combat Systems, Kuntao, Shitoyoshin Ryu Jujitsu and DanZan Ryu Jujitsu. He is a Godan with the American Judo and Jujitsu Federation, a Rokudan with the Kodenkan Hombu, a Sandan in Kodokan Judo and has rank in Tae Kwon Do. He has been training with Prof. Robert Hudson since 1985. He received the title of Renshi from Professor Kufferath in 1993. He received his Certified Menkyo Senior Master Instructor Diploma from Professor Ramon "Lono" Ancho, Jr. in 1998. He was selected as Jiujitsu Instructor of the Year by the American Budokai Society in 1999 and 2001. Sensei Ryan is the chief instructor at Palmetto Jujitsu Academy & Healing Arts Center, Inc., in Lexington, SC. He is Division 3 Manager for the AJJF, a Full Instructor of Okazakai Restorative Massage, and teaches in three area massage schools. He is a member of the Standards Committee of the DanZan Ryu Seifukujitsu Institute. Renshi Ryan is the South Carolina State Representative and a Certified Instructor with the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia. He is actively involved with the South Carolina State Massage Therapy Board. His dojo is his full time business. It is divided into three areas: teaching Martial Arts, teaching massage and doing massage. In addition, he is in partnership in two Asian style spas; one in Columbia, South Carolina and the other in Augusta, Georgia. |

| Sensei Randy Schuster began training with the Davis Ju-Do Kai junior program in 1969 and has been a member of the dojo ever since. His latest stint as School Head began around 1993. Randy has served the AJJF as Manager of Region 1, Convention Chair 1996 and 1999, Manager of Conventions and Editor of the Kiai Echo. |

| Sensei Loretta Cabacungan Silvagni began studying Danzan Ryu Jujitsu is San Jose, California under Sensei Glen Castlio who was a direct student of Professor Law. While at Santa Clara University, she also studied Aikido, Karate and Kund Fu. During this time, she studied under Professors Rebmann and Congistre. After receiving her Masters in Clinical Social Work, she moved to Napa and began studying with Professor Edwards until he moved to Montana. She then began studying under Professor Hudson. She currently has her AJJF Sandan and is Manager of Regions, prior to which she served as Manager of Exams. She is also School Head of Napa Valley Jujitsu and has a private practice where she emphasized "mental" jujitsu to emphasize one's strengths to overcome their weaknesses in times of adversity. She continues to perpetuate training her students in the Hawaiian spirit of kokua by "giving from the heart with no expectations of return." |

| Sensei Peter Sweeny is co-School Head of Ka Hale Na Ikaika Dojo in San Diego, California. He began his studies in jujutsu in Northern California in 1990 with Sensei Tim Merrill, Yodan (4th degree black belt) of the AJJF. He has studied martial arts for over 18 years, Danzan Ryu for 16 years. Since 1994, his sensei has been Professor Robert Hudson, Hachidan (8th degree black belt). In addition to jujitsu, his martial arts training includes Aikido, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong, and he has completed modules 1 and 2 of Danzan Ryu's Seifukujitsu Therapy course. He is a veteran of the US Navy. Throughout his years in training, Peter has traveled extensively studying the techniques and training approaches of Danzan Ryu's finest practitioners. |
